La Cimbali - Water level

The brand La Cimbali has on their commercial espresso machine 2 types of sight glass assemblies. With the newer espresso machines like the La Cimbali M100 you won’t find a sight glass anymore.

The first model is the oldest version of sight glass. This is a traditional tube with a diameter of 12mm, there are 2 length versions a 135mm and a 117mm version. These sight glasses are held in place with a sight glass gasket and a brass stuffing ring which are fixed with a fastening nut.

The second version is used on Faema and La Cimbali espresso machines. But with La Cimbali this sight glass is used on the La Cimbali M39 and La Cimbali M39 GT espresso machines. The level glass used on this assembly is a straight glass with rounded off ends. On the inside it is sealed off with a o ring and on the outside you have a flat sight glass gasket.
