The Rocket R58 espresso machine is electronically quite sophisticated. This mainly has to do that it is a dual boiler and temperature controlled espresso machine. Seen this requires a lot more, and expensive components, then with a regular manually operated Rocket espresso machine which hasn’t been fitted with temperature control.
The electrics on this espresso machine start at the power plug, this plug is connected to the main power switch. From this point all the components are provided with power, such as the dosing device, heating elements, motor and the Solid State Relays (SSR). The power going to the heating elements is controlled with the SSR. If a boiler needs heating up, the PID controller will send a DC signal to the SSR and the relay makes a connection so the element is on. Vice versa this is the same. So on this espresso machine you won’t find pressure control only temperature control.
If you are not entirely sure which electrical components you need for your Rocket R58 espresso machine, don’t hesitate to contact us.
