Het merk Faema espressomachine is een van de bekendste espressomachinemakers, maar ze maken ook koffiemolens. Een voorbeeld hiervan is de Faema MD2000 koffiemolen. Deze koffiemolen is van het type doseerder, deze heeft een doseerbak aan de voorzijde van de koffiemolen.

De koffiemolen heeft een uitneembare koffietrechter bovenop de molen. Van daaruit gaat de koffie richting de maalschijven. Deze zijn van het vlakke type, met een rechtse draairichting. De buitendiameter is 75 mm en de binnendiameter is 43,5 mm.

De maalschijven kunnen worden aangedreven met verschillende motortypes, bijvoorbeeld 110 en 230V enkelfasig. Voor deze motor is een condensator nodig. Er is ook een 3 fase 400V versie beschikbaar, hiervoor heb je geen condensator nodig. De molen kan worden aangepast door de bovenste maalschijf omhoog of omlaag te bewegen.

Zodra de koffie gemalen is valt deze in de doseerder aan de voorzijde van de koffiemolen. Deze molen maalt een bepaald aantal seconden nadat de doseerhendel is uitgetrokken. Zodat je nooit meer een lege koffie doser hebt.
