De Rancilio Rocky SD koffiemolen is een van de 2 modellen uit de Rancilio Rocky serie. Deze versie, de SD, is de doseerversie van de Rancilio Rocky. Een doser koffiemolen is een uitvoering die een voorraadbak, doser, aan de voorkant van de molen heeft waar de gemalen koffie in wordt bewaard.

Deze koffiemolen is voorzien van een ronde koffietrechter, die in de blauwachtig transparante kleur is die Rancilio gebruikt op hun koffiemolens. De koffiebonen worden in de hopper geplaatst en van daaruit gaan de bonen richting maalschijven. Bij de Rancilio Rocky SD koffiemolen hebben deze een draairichting naar links. De buitendiameter is 50 mm en de binnendiameter is 31 mm.

Nadat de koffie tussen de maalschijven is gemalen, wordt de koffie in de doseerder aan de voorkant van de koffiemolen geduwd. Vanaf hier kun je de gemalen koffie uit de doseerder doseren door aan de hendel aan de zijkant van de espressomachine te trekken. Je dient je portafilter in de portafilterhouder onder de koffiemolen te plaatsen, als je de hendel naar je toe trekt zal de koffie uit de doseerder in je portafilter geduwd worden.
