Die Espressomaschinenmarke Faema ist einer der bekanntesten Hersteller von Espressomaschinen, stellt aber auch Kaffeemühlen her. Ein Beispiel hierfür ist die Kaffeemühle Faema MD2000. Diese Kaffeemühle ist vom Typ Dosierer, sie verfügt über einen Dosierbehälter an der Vorderseite der Kaffeemühle.

Die Kaffeemühle verfügt über einen abnehmbaren Kaffeetrichter oben auf der Mühle. Von dort gelangt der Kaffee zu den Mahlwerken. Dabei handelt es sich um flache Ausführungen mit Rechtsdrehrichtung. Der Außendurchmesser beträgt 75 mm und der Innendurchmesser 43,5 mm.

Die Mahlwerke können mit verschiedenen Motortypen betrieben werden, beispielsweise mit 110 und 230 V einphasig. Für diesen Motor ist ein Kondensator erforderlich. Es gibt auch eine 3-Phasen-400-V-Version, für diese benötigen Sie keinen Kondensator. Das Mahlwerk kann durch Verschieben des oberen Mahltellers nach oben oder unten eingestellt werden.

Sobald der Kaffee gemahlen ist, fällt er in den Dosierer an der Vorderseite der Kaffeemühle. Diese Mühle mahlt für eine bestimmte Anzahl von Sekunden, nachdem der Dosierhebel gezogen wurde. Damit Sie nie einen leeren Kaffeedosierer haben.
