The heating elements used on Vibiemme espresso machines depends on what type of espresso machine model it is. Seen the VBM espresso machines have 2 types, a commercial and a domestic espresso machine. On a espresso machine like the Vibiemme Domobar you will find a completely different heating element then on a Vibiemme Replica. For the commercial espresso machines there are 2 types of flanges used and for the domestic models as well.

The standard flange on the commercial espresso machines is the triangular shape. This flange is 78x78mm and the distance between the mounting holes is 57mm. these types of heating elements can be found on the Vibiemme Lollo, Vibiemme Replica, Vibiemme Dosaplus, Vibiemme Kometa and the Vibiemme Cubo. The gasket used on this model of element is has a triangular shape and is 77x77mm.

The other model of commercial heating element is the round threaded flange 1”, which screws into the brewing group boiler. This type is only used on dual boiler systems. Like on the VBM Chimaera and the Vibiemme Replica dual boiler espresso machines. The gasket used is a round gasket with a outer diameter of 41-42mm and a inner diameter of 33mm.

The heating elements used on the domestic VBM espresso machines are all screw in heating elements. There are types which have a 1” and a 1”1/4 diameter. For the 1” heating element you need a gasket which has a outer diameter of 41-42mm and a inner diameter of 33mm. For the 1”1/4 element you need a heating element gasket with a OD of 53mm and a inner diameter of 42-42mm. These types of heating elements are used on the VBM Domobar Junior, Vibiemme Domobar Super, VBM Domobar Digitale and the Vibiemme Domobar dual boiler.
