Currently some brands don’t use sight glasses anymore to check the water level. But some brands still use them. The sight glass on this page is used with La Spaziale espresso machine boilers, mainly the single group vertical boilers. This specific model of sight glass has the La Spaziale part number 00267 

The sight glass on this page has a external diameter of 11mm and a overall length of 150mm. To make the water level more visible they have painted a blue stripe at the back of the sight glass. On the front you can find the Minimum and Maximum text to see if your water level is still at the correct location.
