Cafelat corner tamping mat

The Cafelat corner tamper mat is one of the earliest models of a tamper mat. A tamper mat is used to put your portafilter on or against to prevent damage to your countertop. Seen this tamper mat has a 90 degree corner you can push your portafilter against the corner of your countertop. You can use this silicone Tamper mat in a domestic setting but it is ideally to use it in a commercial application such as a bar, restaurant or a hotel. The Cafelat tamper mat has been made from a black silicone. This is the thickest tamper mat made, it is almost 10mm thick. So it is able to resist quite a lot of impacts.

The mat itself has a width of 21cm and a depth of 14,5mm, where the overhang is 4cm. The silicone tamper mat has a weight of 360 gram.
