Most domestic and commercial espresso machine have a pilot light installed somewhere in the machine. This can have various reasons, to notify that a certain component is turned on or that the boiler is being heated up.

Indicator lights come in different shapes, colours and models. The most common colours are red and green which have a round indicator and run mostly on 220-230V. Some pilot lights come with cabling others with spade connectors.
