The filterbasket tis suitable for a double dose, or 2 cups. The range you can fill the filterbasket with coffee goes from 12 grams up 18 grams of ground coffee. But IMS states that the average grams of ground coffee ranges from 14 up to 16 grams.

The external border diameter of this double filterbasket is 68mm. The body itself has a diameter of 60mm and the height of the basket is 24,5mm, the same as with the single filterbasket. This basket itself is a ridge less filter basket. The tamper diameter for this filterbasket is 58mm.

The single filterbasket has 253 single holes. The double filterbasket on this page has a lot more holes, a total of 641 holes in pattern of 44mm. The holes have a conical section.

Can I use any filterbasket in my double portafilter? insert_link

No you can’t. The most common size of double filterbaskets has a diameter of 70mm. This is found on for instance Faema and Nuova Simonelli portafilters. The 68mm is typical for Cimbali espresso machines. Where you have smaller sizes for La Spaziale and San Marco portafilters.
