Bezzera - Portafilter

There are various models of portafilters used on Bezzera espresso machines. You have 3 types of portafilters. The spring operated lever groups, the e61 style of lever groups and the bell shaped group heads. The original portafilters of Bezzera have the iconic black handles with at the end of the grip a Bezzera logo

The spring operated lever groups have a ear orientation of 45 degree and a thickness of the ears of 5,6mm. for instance on the Bezzera Strega lever group.

The next model is used on the traditional Bezzera brewing groups. This portafilter has a ear orientation of 45 degree and a thickness of the ears of 5,5mm. this type is used on the Bezzera BZ07, BZ09, BZ10, BZ13, B2013.

The e61 type of brewing groups use a portafilter with a ear orientation of 90 degree and have a thickness of 6,3mm. This portafilter is used on for instance the Bezzera Galatea Domus, Magica, Giulia, Matrix, Mitica and Unica
