La San Marco - Steam/water valve

The steam and water valves used on La San Marco espresso machines are quite unique in their own way. There are various versions available of the water and steam valves.

The most common one is the driving bowl valve. With this valve when the handle is in the middle position the valve is closed, when moving the handle up or down the valve will open. The handle used for this valve is similar to the design of the portafilter handles used on these machines. This valve can be found on the San Marco 85, San Marco 95 and the San Marco 100. The newest La San Marco espresso machines such as the San Marco 20/20 Classic and the San Marco 20/20 P&P use a similar design, only with a different handle.

There is also a open and close valve you need to turn clockwise or counter clockwise, this model of steam and water valve can be found on the La San Marco 105 espresso machine.
