The solenoid valve is used on every modern espresso machine. This is also the case with La San Marco espresso machines. The solenoid valve has various applications, such as at the water inlet valve and as a brewing group solenoid valve.
There are 2 types of solenoid valve. This is the 3 way solenoid valve and the 2 way solenoid valve. The 2 way solenoid valve is used for instance on the water inlet, water dispensing or the water mixing of the Tea water. The 3 way solenoid valve is used on a brewing group. When it is activated the water can flow true the group and once it is deactivated it can exhaust the remaining water.
The brands you can use on La San Marco coffee machine are ODE, Parker, Lucifer and Olab. With selecting a solenoid valve make sure that all the parameters are the same such as the Voltage, Orifice, wattage and fitting type.
