The coffee filter baskets used on La Spaziale espresso machines aren’t the 68 or 70mm filterbaskets you see with most brands. The filterbaskets, so also the portafilters, are a lot smaller. They have a diameter of 65mm. These sizes of filterbasket can also be used on various Astoria and Wega portafilters, seen they use a smaller group type.
The filterbaskets for La Spaziale are made by the Italian company IMS Filtri. All the filterbaskets made by them are made from Stainless steel. There are 3 types of filterbasket. The 1 coffee, 2 coffee and the blind filter. The 1 coffee filterbaskets have a diameter of 65mm and a height 23mm and hold approx. 6-7 grams of ground coffee. The 2 coffee filterbasket has a diameter of 65mm and a height of 27,5mm and can hold approx. 14 grams of ground coffee. The final one is the blind filter which has a diameter of 65mm and a height of 25mm.
For the brewing groups for La Spaziale are also the IMS Filtri competition/precision filter baskets available. These filterbaskets are available in a 1 coffee and 2 coffee basket.
