There are 3 products.The steam and water valves on the Bezzera BZ10 espresso machine are generic for a lot of domestic Bezzera espresso machines. These valves are manually operated and not with a solenoid valve. The operating principle is the same on both valves, but they do not use the same components. They are not interchangeable.
The valves are both operated by pushing the knob of the valve in any direction, this pushes a shaft inside. This shaft pushes inside against the gasket, the valve opens. When you return the knob to the original position, the valve will close again because of the pressure of the compression spring.
For the steam valve you have 2 versions, one up to 06-10-11 and one from 07-10-11. The main difference is that the early model has a male steam tip and the later model has a female steam tip. The steam tube can be rotated 360 degree and keeps it position because of the compression spring.
This system is also used on the water valve, but rotating it a 360 degree is a bit pointless. Seen all sides are identical to eachother.
