How to select the correct bone saw blade
The safest starting point is the exact bone saw manufacturer and model. If machine documentation is available, check the specified blade dimensions before selecting a replacement. The main specifications are:
- Blade length – the complete band length must match the saw configuration.
- Blade height – for example 16 mm or 19 mm depending on the machine and blade system.
- Blade thickness – do not assume that blades with the same length and height use the same material thickness.
- Tooth pitch / TPI – check the required tooth spacing and teeth per inch.
- Machine compatibility – use a confirmed model application where available.
A matching length alone does not prove compatibility. The complete blade specification and the requirements of the bone saw must correspond.
