How to select the correct door gasket
The most reliable starting point is the OEM part number or the exact manufacturer and machine model. Where different versions or production configurations exist, check these as well before comparing the physical dimensions of the gasket.
For most door gaskets, selection should follow this order:
- OEM or part reference – compare the reference from the machine documentation or existing gasket where available.
- Exact machine and model – the equipment brand alone does not confirm compatibility.
- Machine version – production versions or model variants can use different sealing systems.
- Gasket construction – complete frame, 3-sided, U-shaped, straight length, snap-in, magnetic or another mounting design.
- Overall dimensions – verify the complete width, height or length required by the machine.
- Profile dimensions – the cross-section of the gasket must match the groove, door or retaining system.
- Mounting method – check whether the gasket is pushed in, snapped into a channel, retained mechanically or installed in another way.
- Material – silicone elastomer, rubber or another material may be specified for a particular application.
- Origin – check whether the selected part is OEM/original or a compatible non-original replacement.
Do not select a replacement from the outside dimensions alone. Two door gaskets can have similar overall measurements while using a different profile, attachment system or machine application.
Door gaskets for dishwashers and glasswashers
Dishwasher door seals can vary by machine design as well as by model. For example, the Winterhalter OEM 300000318 door gasket is a 3-sided gasket measuring 370 × 435 × 370 mm with a 14 × 7 mm profile and is listed for UC-S undercounter dishwasher applications.
Other machines use straight gasket material rather than a preformed frame. The Colged / Elettrobar OEM 2124MT door gasket, for example, has a 20 × 6 mm profile and is supplied per metre for specified pan and utensil washers.
These examples show why gasket construction and profile must be checked separately from length.
Door gaskets for professional ovens and combi steamers
Oven and combi-steamer door gaskets are selected according to the exact cooking appliance and door configuration. Dimensions alone do not confirm that a gasket can be used on another oven.
For example, the Rational 5012.0704 OEM oven door gasket measures 720 × 485 mm and has a 23 × 18 mm profile. It is listed for specific Rational CC101, CD101 and CM101 configurations.

Door gaskets for refrigeration equipment
Refrigerated cabinets, counters, freezers and similar equipment can use a different sealing architecture from ovens or dishwashers. Many refrigeration applications use complete or magnetic snap-in gaskets, where the profile and retaining groove are just as important as the outside dimensions.
The Fagor OEM 12068587 door gasket, for example, is listed for specified Fagor MFP Advance, ADM and EAM counter configurations. Other Fagor refrigeration models use different gasket dimensions and constructions, so the manufacturer name alone should not be used to determine fit.

Gasket dimensions and profile
Door gasket dimensions can be expressed as width × height for a complete frame, as several side lengths for a 3-sided gasket, or simply as a length when straight gasket material is supplied. These measurements describe different constructions and should not be treated as equivalent.
The gasket profile is a separate specification. A seal with the correct overall dimensions but an incorrect profile can have a different groove fit, compression or mounting interface.
When replacing an existing gasket, compare:
- overall width, height or length;
- number of sides or frame construction;
- profile width and height;
- mounting or retaining design;
- OEM reference and machine application.
Snap-in, magnetic and other gasket constructions
Some refrigeration equipment uses snap-in gaskets that are pressed into a retaining channel. Magnetic versions also contain a magnetic insert to keep the door closed against the cabinet frame. Other equipment can use fixed-profile, plug-in, labyrinth, U-shaped or straight gasket constructions.
These construction types are not automatically interchangeable. Always match the replacement to the sealing and retaining system used by the original machine.
OEM and compatible door gaskets
Brooks Parts supplies both OEM/original door gaskets and compatible non-original replacements. These descriptions refer to the origin of the replacement part, not simply to the machine brand it fits.
An OEM/original part is supplied under the stated original manufacturer reference. A product marked Compatible (non-original) is an alternative replacement for the stated machine or OEM reference and should not be interpreted as a component manufactured by that machine brand.
For both types, the OEM reference, exact machine application and technical gasket specification remain the leading selection criteria.
When replacing a door gasket
Door gaskets are wear components. Replacement can be required when the existing seal is torn, hardened, permanently deformed or no longer seats correctly in its mounting system.
Before ordering, identify the machine and check the existing OEM reference whenever possible. Then compare machine/model → version → gasket construction → dimensions → profile → mounting method → OEM or compatible with the product specification.
