One of the later models of ECM is the ECM Synchronika espresso machine. this espresso machine is a domestic espresso machine, but with a lot of commercial features. Such a dual boiler system
The espresso machine can run from a water tank at the back, if you don’t have access to a spare tap. Or from the main water supply. In the case of the water tank the pump is used to fill the boiler. In the case of the Synchronika this is a full motor and pump combination you would also find on a commercial espresso machine.
The boilers installed on the Synchronika is one used for the brewing water and the other one for steam and water. The element on the brewing group boiler is a 1400W heating element, controlled by the thermal PID. The other boiler is heated by a 1000W heating element and is controlled with a automatic thermostat.
The brewing group used on the Synchronika is of the E61 style brewing group, note: not all the components on ECM E61 style brewing groups are interchangeable with other e61 style brewing groups.
Seen the ECM Synchronika has been equipped with a dual boiler system, there is plenty enough of capacity in their dedicated boiler. Where you have a steam valve on the left side and on the right side a water valve.
