A long history in coffee filtration
IMS traces its development back to early innovations in filter perforation technology and was established as I.P.M.S. in Pavia (Italy) in 1946. Over time, the company introduced milestones that still matter in modern espresso parts: early use of stainless steels for filters and showers, the invention of net welding technology for shower screens, and later a new perforation system for conical holes.

E&B LAB: Espresso & Brewing Laboratory
To expand beyond espresso into wider brewing accessories, IMS launched E&B LAB in 2016, producing high-end brewing accessories (including specialty filters and moka-related projects) made in Italy through collaborations with qualified partners and craftsmen.
