Anti vacuum and safety valves

The boiler safety valves are made in various shapes and sizes. The most common size used is the 3/8” BSP-G thread. but you will also find them as a ¼” or a 1/2”. The less common fitting sizes are the metric sizes like the M18 and M19. These safety valves have a pressure range going from 1,5 bar up to 2,0 bar. You do also have the choice o get a certified valve.

The vacuum valves are a newer feature then the boiler safety valves. This valve prevents, while warming up, that the pressure switch shuts off the heating process too fast. It will basically release the falls air up to the moment the pressure is high enough in the boiler and the valve will shut on it’s own.
