How to select the correct fryer basket or false bottom mesh
The OEM or manufacturer reference is usually the best starting point. When the reference is not available, identify the exact fryer manufacturer and model before using dimensions as confirmation.
A practical selection order is:
- OEM or manufacturer reference – use the original part number or a confirmed compatible reference where available.
- Fryer manufacturer – identify the machine brand.
- Exact model or fryer series – baskets and tank components can differ between models from the same manufacturer.
- Version or production period – check production information where it is stated for the machine.
- Electric or gas version – verify the exact machine configuration where compatibility differs between fryer versions.
- Component type – distinguish a complete fryer basket, false bottom mesh and separate basket component such as a handle.
- Dimensions – compare basket length, width and height or the complete false-bottom dimensions.
- Mechanical interface – check handle design, mounting points, hole spacing and other relevant dimensions where applicable.
- Material – compare the stated material after the correct application and dimensions have been identified.
- Origin – distinguish OEM/original products from Compatible (non-original) replacements.
Do not select a fryer basket from dimensions alone. A basket with matching outside dimensions is not automatically suitable for the same fryer.
Fryer baskets for professional fryers
Professional fryer baskets are available in different lengths, widths, heights and handle configurations. The correct dimensions depend on the fryer tank and the exact machine application.
Always check OEM reference → manufacturer → model → basket dimensions. If Brooks Parts lists specific compatible fryer models, use these as additional confirmation rather than assuming fit from size alone.
Fryer capacity can also be useful supporting information where it is explicitly stated, but the same litre capacity does not mean that two fryers use the same basket.
False bottom meshes
A false bottom mesh is a different component from the removable fryer basket. It is installed in the fryer tank and must correspond with the tank configuration and the specific fryer model.
When selecting a false bottom mesh, verify the OEM reference, exact fryer model, production version where stated and complete length × width dimensions.
Do not replace a false bottom solely by measuring the old component if an OEM reference or exact machine application is available. Similar dimensions can occur on technically different fryer configurations.
Fryer basket handles and mounting details
Some basket components can be replaced separately from the complete fryer basket. For a replacement handle, the external dimensions are only part of the selection.
Also check the mounting method, hole spacing, attachment points and compatible basket or fryer application. A handle with similar outside dimensions can still use a different mounting interface.
Basket length, width and height
For complete fryer baskets, compare all three main basket dimensions: length × width × height. Do not select a basket from only one matching dimension.
The complete basket geometry must correspond with the fryer tank and the intended application. Handle position and other mechanical details can also affect compatibility.
Electric and gas fryer applications
Some fryer baskets are listed for specific electric and gas fryer models. In these cases, the machine application is more important than assuming that all fryers from the same series use the same basket.
Verify the exact model designation and, where available, the machine version or production period before ordering.
Fryer baskets by manufacturer
When the fryer manufacturer is known, use the machine brand together with the OEM reference and exact model to narrow the selection. Brooks Parts currently groups fryer baskets and related components under manufacturer selections including Angelo Po, Electrolux, Fagor, Fimar, Mareno and Zanussi.
A manufacturer match alone does not confirm compatibility. Continue from the manufacturer to the exact fryer model, OEM reference and basket or tank dimensions before selecting the product.
OEM references and manufacturer pages
Manufacturer pages can be useful when you need other spare parts for the same fryer brand. For example, the Fagor spare parts and Mareno spare parts sections include fryer-related parts as well as components for other professional equipment from those manufacturers.
Use the manufacturer page as a brand-level route, then narrow the selection by equipment category, exact model, OEM reference and technical specification.
Machine manufacturer and replacement-part manufacturer
The machine brand used to identify compatibility and the actual manufacturer of a replacement part are not necessarily the same.
Where this information is available, distinguish:
- compatible machine manufacturer;
- OEM or manufacturer reference;
- exact fryer model;
- actual replacement manufacturer;
- Brooks reference;
- origin: OEM/original or Compatible (non-original).
A compatible fryer basket should not be interpreted as having been manufactured by the fryer brand simply because that brand and its original part number are listed for compatibility.
OEM and compatible fryer baskets
This category contains both OEM/original parts and Compatible (non-original) replacements. The origin of the basket or false bottom should be considered separately from machine compatibility.
For both OEM and compatible parts, verify the same technical information: reference → exact machine → component type → dimensions and interface → origin.
Other professional fryer parts
A fryer can also require heating, electrical, gas or control components in addition to baskets and tank meshes. For the wider fryer assortment, browse professional fryer parts.
For parts used across professional kitchen equipment, return to the main HoReCa spare parts section.
Before ordering a fryer basket or false bottom
Identify the OEM or manufacturer reference whenever possible. Then compare fryer manufacturer → exact model → version or production period → electric/gas configuration where relevant → component type → dimensions → mechanical interface → origin.
Matching dimensions, fryer capacity or manufacturer alone do not confirm fit. Use the complete machine and component specification before selecting the replacement part.
