ITV IQ parts for granular ice production
The IQ series is designed around continuous granular ice production. Water freezes inside the evaporator and the ice is mechanically moved through the freezing section. As a result, servicing an IQ machine involves a different group of components than servicing a conventional spray-type ice cube machine.

The evaporator is central to an IQ machine
In a granular ice machine, the evaporator does much more than simply provide a cold surface. It forms part of the complete system in which water freezes and the ice is continuously removed.
Wear or incorrect operation in this area may show itself as reduced output, inconsistent ice, unusual resistance in the drive system or a machine that stops during production.
Always identify evaporator and drive components using the exact ITV model rather than selecting a part by dimensions alone.
Water supply and water level parts
Although the IQ range does not use the same spray arrangement as Spika or Delta cube machines, a stable water supply remains essential. The machine must receive the correct quantity of water throughout production.

When granular ice production decreases
A reduction in ice output does not automatically mean the refrigeration system is defective. The cause may also be related to water supply, temperature sensing, the gear motor or resistance within the mechanical ice-making section.
For a useful diagnosis, check whether the machine receives water normally, whether the drive runs, whether ice is being formed and at which point production stops or becomes irregular.

Older IQ models can still need parts
Earlier Ice Queen machines can remain in professional service for many years. ITV documentation also contains previous model references that are no longer part of the current range.
For these machines, the original component reference is especially useful because parts may have been revised during the lifetime of the product family.
IQ, IQN and IQF are different ranges
ITV also produces the IQN and IQF families. These machines make different styles of ice and should not automatically be grouped with the standard IQ Ice Queen range when selecting spare parts.
