The blind filter is used for backflushing the brewing group with cleaning detergent. This is done for cleaning the internals and the brewing group solenoid valve.
There are only 3 models of blind filter. You do have 1 model for La San Marco espresso machines, You have 1 model which used on some Wega/Astoria groups and on all La Spaziale espresso machines. The last one is a universal model which can be used on basically every commercial brewing group. There is also a universal blanking disc, this can also be used in most commercial espresso machines.
