Materials & Construction
Flexible hoses designed for HORECA environments typically feature an EPDM rubber core (DN 13, Ø 12.5×17 mm) protected by a stainless-steel braid or nylon sheath. This rugged construction withstands continuous hot-water service up to 90 °C and operating pressures of 10–20 bar. Technical or chilled-water circuits use unbraided PVC or EPDM hoses (DN 10, Ø 10×14.5 mm) rated to 60 bar and temperatures down to +2 °C. Standard ¾″ F fittings with brass or nylon nuts and high-performance elastomer gaskets ensure leak-free seals.
Certifications & Compliance
Professional kitchens demand components with verified safety and hygiene credentials. Leading hoses carry WRAS (UK), DVGW (Germany), TÜV and NSF certifications. VDE approval on stainless-steel models adds electrical safety assurance. Burst pressures up to 95 bar and TÜV-tested flow-control devices (e.g., anti-flooding valves) further guarantee durability under heavy commercial use.
Applications in HORECA Equipment
Dishwashers & Glasswashers
Supply and drain hoses serve under-counter, hood and conveyor machines from brands like Winterhalter (UC-L series), Elettrobar (E50), Colged (STEELTECH range) and Zanussi (NUC series).
Coffee Machines & Grinders
High-pressure steam and boiler feeds on Cimbali (M39-GT) and Victoria Arduino (Adonis, Athena-Leva) rely on compact, stainless-steel–braided hoses.
Steam & Combi Ovens
Steam-injection connections on Unox (XEVC-0511), Convotherm (C4-eD-10.10) and Lainox (T21) models require hoses rated for both temperature and pressure cycling.
Ice Makers & Refrigeration
Inlet lines for Hoshizaki (CM-140KE), Zanussi (EUC/NUC) and cold-room gaskets (Fermod profiles) ensure consistent water supply to ice-making and refrigerated units.
Choosing the Right Hose
When selecting flexible hoses, balance length (500–3 000 mm), temperature rating, pressure class and connector type. For heavy-use hot-water lines, opt for stainless-steel–braided EPDM hoses with WRAS/DVGW approval. For low-temperature or technical circuits, choose high-pressure unbraided PVC or EPDM options. Correct selection ensures leak-free operation, easy maintenance and long service life in any professional kitchen.
