The Mazzer Kony Elettronico is one of the work horses of the Mazzer brand. This coffee grinder can be used in any high volume bar or restaurant. The Mazzer Kony Electronic is a “on demand” coffee grinder, which means that the coffee you need will only be ground. So every espresso you make will be made from freshly ground beans.
This coffee grinder is made in various single phase types. The most common type is the 220/240V models. The other type is made for the US market, the 100/110V single phase models. The disadvantage of a single phase motor is that they do need to be powered with a capacitor. The size of capacitor mainly depends on the voltage type the motor is.
The Mazzer Kony coffee grinder is one of the models of Mazzer which uses conical grinding burrs instead of flat grinding burrs. These grinding burrs have 2 external and 2 internal sizes. The externals are 63 and 40mm, the internal sizes are 40 and 12mm. The distance between these burrs can be adjusted by turning the ring on the top clockwise and counter clockwise.
The ground coffee falls from the grinding section into the funnel section, under this funnel section you have the filterholder fork. On top of the funnel you have a touchpanel where you can select the type of coffees you want. You can set the amount of grinding seconds for a single or a double dose of ground coffee.
