Available Versions of the Rancilio Classe 8
The Rancilio Classe 8 came in different configurations to meet various user requirements:
- Rancilio Classe 8 S – The S version is the non-volumetric model, where the barista manually controls the start and stop of the brewing process.
- Rancilio Classe 8 DE – The DE version is the volumetric model, offering pre-set volumetric dosing to automate the brewing process. Due to the differences in operation, this model also differs in its electronics and hydraulic systems compared to the S version.
Brewing Group Features
The brewing group on the Rancilio Classe 8 is a standard Rancilio brewing group, meaning you can use the standard Rancilio portafilter across this model. This makes finding replacement parts or accessories easier, as they are compatible with other Rancilio espresso machines.
