This motor is made by the Italian company RPM, which makes a variety of espresso machine motors. The pump used on the Giotto Evoluzione V2 only pumps 50L/H, which is plenty enough for a single group domestic espresso machine. These pumps can be used from various brands such as Fluid o Tech, Procon and Nuert.
The pump is used for pumping the water from the water tank on the back into the boiler and for brewing coffee. To control the flow of water there are also various solenoid valves installed in the machine, other key components are over pressure valves, one way valves and the pressure gauges on the front of the espresso machine. On these gauges you can read the pressures of the boiler and of the pump pressure, if it is running offcourse.
