Anfim milano
The company Anfim was founded in 1932 in Milano Italy, where they have been there from the beginning. Nowadays they are part of the swiss Hemro group, other brands which are also part of that group are Mählkonig and Ditting.
Anfim spare parts
The parts used on a Anfim coffee grinder are in most cases unique to the brand. You do have components such as capacitors and for instance switches which can be universal.
Coffee hopper
The coffee hoppers used on Anfim coffee grinders are quite unique. They have 2 styles of design. One is the early model square hopper, which is out of production. And the other is the small round one. All these types of hoppers have a large black base, which you won’t find with other manufacturers.
Grinding burrs
The coffee grinding burrs on Anfim coffee grinders are solely flat ones. They don’t use conical grinding blades on their coffee grinders. This is a thing you won’t see that often with Italian coffee grinder manufactures. Brands such as Mazzer and Fiorenzato do have grinders which have conical grinding blades.
Models
The brand Anfim has made a variety of coffee grinder models over the years, these do vary between eachother. But there are also parts interchangeable between some of those models.
Anfim Pratica
The Anfim pratica is one of the latest “on demand” coffee grinders of the Anfim brand. It does also have a more modern design. This coffee grinder is the fasts grinder they have made up to this date. The grinder itself has a screen in the front where you can program 6 types of coffee doses. To start one of the coffee doses you can push your portafilter against the switch to start the grinding process hands free.
Anfim Scody II
The Anfim Scody II, or Super Caimano on Demand II, this is a small coffee grinder ideal for medium volume bars and café’s. This specific grinder is a “on demand” type, so the grinder will only grind the coffee which is used at that time. This coffee grinder has been fitted with flat grinding burrs, they are also optionally availably with a titanium coating.
Anfim Best
The Anfim Best is one of the older coffee grinder models of the brand Anfim. This specific model is called a “doser” coffee grinder. It will grind a certain amount of coffee which is stored on the front of the coffee doser.
Anfim Haus self
The coffee grinder Anfim Haus Self is one of the smaller coffee grinders of Anfim. This specific model is a “on demand” coffee grinder. So it will only grind the amount of coffee you need for your first espresso of the day. This coffee grinder can be used by a home barista or at a small coffee bar.
How to keep your Anfim coffee grinder clean
Keeping your Anfim coffee grinder clean is one of the most underestimated procedures. But a filthy coffee hopper or coffee grinder does not look good to your customers. Besides the fact that it is food related. Cleaning the outside of the coffee grinder can easily be done with Puly hopper cleaner and a Brooks Microfibre cloth.
Cleaning the inside of the coffee grinder can take, initially, a bit more work. If you have never cleaned your grinding chamber, you need to do this first. First take the power plug out of the socket. Then you can remove the upper burr and clean the grinding chamber from old coffee. This can be done with a brush and Puly Bar cleaner. Once you have that done you need to run Puly Grind in regular intervals true the coffee grinder. This will remove all the old coffee grounds from the coffee grinder.
