Level probe
There are 20 products.On this product page you will find a wide selection of espresso machine level probes. A level probe is a stick which is located on the top of the boiler or on the flange and it detects if the water inside the boiler is hitting the probe.
When the water doesn´t hit the probe the water inlet valve opens and the pump starts to run(not with every brand and model).Once the water hits the level probe the valve closes and the pump stops. The level probe is used in combination with a level regulator and a dosing device.
There are various kinds of level probes. The most important thing is the probe stick, this probe stick is made from stainless and has a flat spot for a connector. The seal used for this is a PTFE sleeve. The fittings are a inner and outer. The inner is used to fix the probe stick on a fixed location and the outer for installation in the boiler.
The level probe can be found in many lengths, going from 80mm up to 155mm. some of them are curved with for instance La Cimbali. The main thread type is ¼”BSP-G. But brands as La Cimbali use 1/8”BSP-G.There is one brand, Bezzera, which uses a metric M10x1 thread.
