Wega Atlas Models Available
The models available in the Wega Atlas series are:
- Wega Atlas Leva
- Wega Atlas EPU
- Wega Atlas EVD
Each model offers unique features, from manual lever-operated machines to fully volumetric options. Below, we explore the specifics of each version.
Wega Atlas Leva
The Wega Atlas Leva is the lever-operated version of the Wega Atlas. Instead of using a pump to produce brewing pressure, this machine relies on an internal compression spring within the group, making it a fully manual machine. This model is ideal for baristas who prefer a hands-on approach to espresso brewing. For more detailed parts and information on this lever-operated machine, please visit our dedicated website for lever espresso machines at Brooks Espresso Machines.
Wega Atlas EPU
The Wega Atlas EPU is the basic version of the Atlas series. This machine operates manually, meaning you can only start and stop the brewing process manually, without the help of a flowmeter or dosing device. The EPU model features a single HX boiler system, which uses one boiler for both steam and hot water, while the heat exchanger (HX) heats the brewing water from that single boiler.
This version of the Wega Atlas is available in multiple configurations, including:
- 1 group (Wega Atlas Junior)
- 2 group (Wega Compact)
- Up to 4 group espresso machines
The Wega Atlas EPU is available in 120V, 230V, and 400V versions, making it suitable for a wide range of settings, from small coffee shops to larger cafes.
Wega Atlas EVD
The Wega Atlas EVD is the volumetric version of the Atlas. This machine comes with a touch panel above the brewing group, allowing users to pre-select coffee doses, making the brewing process more efficient and consistent. The EVD model is also fitted with flowmeters, which helps automate the dosing process and provides easier operation compared to the EPU model.
Like the EPU, the EVD also uses a single HX boiler for steam, warm water, and brewing, where the heat exchanger transfers heat from the main boiler to the brewing water.
This version is available in various configurations, such as:
- 1 group (Wega Atlas Junior)
- 2 group (Wega Compact)
- Up to 4 group espresso machines
The Wega Atlas EVD is also available in 120V, 230V, and 400V versions, making it a versatile option for coffee shops that require a volumetric espresso machine for faster, more consistent service.
