On the Astoria Argenta espresso machine there are various types of pumps and motors used, which type depends on the model you have of the Argenta. One of the motors is a internal motor assembly and the other one is external type.
The internal espresso machine motor is a water cooled RPM motor, this type of motor you mainly see with Astoria CMA espresso machines. The water from the pump first passes the coils which are wound around the motor. With Astoria CMA espresso machines you need a coupling set to attach the pump to the motor.
The other model, a external pump motor, is not a water cooled motor but again made by the Italian brand RPM. This motor is fitted with a junction box on top of the motor, so you can safely connect the wiring coming from your espresso machine.
Both motors are clamp on motors, with coupling sets. The pumps are attached to the motors with stainless steel couplings. The motors you can use on the Astoria Argenta can be from various brands such as Fluid o Tech, Procon and Nuert.
