The safest way to identify a Wega replacement part is to start with the exact espresso machine model and, where available, the OEM reference from the existing component or parts diagram. Wega portafilters, filter holders and related sealing components can differ between brewing group versions. When replacing a portafilter, check the orientation and thickness of the locking ears as well as the filter basket and spout configuration.
A portafilter that closes too far or no longer seals correctly does not always mean that the complete portafilter must be replaced. The condition and thickness of the group gasket should be checked first. On older machines, wear of the group locking surfaces can also change the final locking position.

When replacing a dosing device or other control component, use the reference printed on the existing unit whenever possible. Two control boxes with a similar appearance may have different programming, connections or electrical specifications.
