The brewing group used on the La Cimbali M21 Junior espresso machine is from the standard type of brewing group used on most La Cimbali espresso machines.
This means that this is a heat exchanger operated group. A the back of the brewing group is a heat exchanger(HX) installed, this HX sticks into the boiler heating up the brewing group water. This HX is the short version and has a length of 150mm.
On the side of the brewing group is the 3 way solenoid valve located. For the drain water from the group is a exhaust tube attached to the outlet of the solenoid valve.
The portafilters used on the group on the Cimbali M21 junior are the standard type of Cimbali portafilters. These portafilters are used in combination with a portafilter gasket with a outer diameter of 71mm and a inner diameter of 56mm and a shower screen which has a diameter of 51,5mm.
So the components used on the brewing groups of the Cimbali M21 Junior S and the Cimbali M21 Junior DT are identical.
