How to choose the correct Domobar Junior part
The Vibiemme Domobar Junior has been produced in different technical configurations. A component for an HX machine is not automatically suitable for a dual-boiler version. Production year, voltage and changes made during the model’s production can also affect which parts are used.
Start by identifying the complete model designation and machine version. Then compare the existing component, the Vibiemme part number and the technical information on the product page. Do not select a part solely because its photograph looks similar.
Domobar Junior HX parts
A Domobar Junior HX uses a heat exchanger to heat brewing water within the boiler system. Parts can include components for the boiler, heat exchanger, vibration pump, water tank, pressure regulation, steam system and E61-style brewing group.
For HX-system components, check every connection, thread and mounting position. Pipes, boiler fittings and valves can differ between production generations.
Domobar Junior dual-boiler parts
On a dual-boiler Domobar Junior, the brewing-water and steam systems use separate boilers. This configuration therefore uses different boiler, heating and control components from an HX machine.
For heating elements and temperature-control parts, verify which boiler the component is intended for. Also compare the voltage, power rating, dimensions, mounting method and electrical connections.
E61-style brewing-group parts
The Domobar Junior uses a manually operated E61-style brewing group. Available service and overhaul parts can include gaskets, shower screens, springs, valves, cam shafts, jets, O-rings and diffusers.
The term “E61-style” does not mean that every E61 component is universal. Original Faema E61 parts and components used in different E61-style groups can differ in length, thread, diameter and internal design.
Portafilter gasket and shower screen
A worn portafilter gasket can cause water to leak around the portafilter or make the portafilter close too far. Compare the outside diameter, inside diameter, thickness, profile and material when selecting a replacement.
The shower screen distributes water over the coffee bed. Check its outside diameter, height and mounting method. A standard and a precision shower screen may have the same nominal diameter but use a different profile or installed height.
Valves, springs and cam shafts
The mechanical group contains several valves operated by the lever and cam mechanism. Scale, worn seals or weakened springs can prevent a valve from opening or closing correctly.
Compare the total length, thread, diameter and position of each component. A spring or valve shaft that looks similar may have a different length or spring rate.
Pump and water circuit
Different Domobar Junior versions use a vibration pump. Complete pumps, vibration dampers, hoses, fittings, non-return valves and other hydraulic components are available for the pump and water supply.
For a pump, verify the supply voltage, power rating, inlet, outlet connection and mounting method. The manufacturer name or external shape alone does not confirm compatibility.
Expansion valve and water pressure
The expansion valve helps regulate pressure in the water circuit. Expansion valves can differ in thread, connection, adjustment range and mounting position.
A brewing-pressure problem is not necessarily caused by the expansion valve alone. The pump, pressure gauge, pipes, restrictions and other valves can also affect the system.
Boiler and heating system
Boiler-system parts can include heating elements, element gaskets, thermostats, temperature probes, level probes, safety valves and anti-vacuum valves.
When selecting a heating element, compare:
- the operating voltage;
- the power rating;
- the length and shape;
- the flange or thread;
- the electrical connections;
- the compatible Domobar Junior version.
A heating element with the same wattage does not necessarily have the same dimensions or connections.
Pressure switch and pressure gauge
Depending on the version, the machine uses pressure- and temperature-control components to manage heating and boiler pressure. A pressure switch must match the required pressure range, electrical load and connection type.
For a pressure gauge, check the measuring range, diameter, number of needles, pipe connection and front-panel dimensions. A boiler-pressure gauge is not automatically suitable for measuring pump pressure.
Steam valve, hydraulic valves and electrics
Available steam-system components include complete steam valves, steam wands, steam tips, valve shafts, springs, O-rings and seals. A leaking steam valve does not always need to be replaced completely; the fault may be limited to an internal seal, O-ring, shaft or spring.
The hydraulic system can contain non-return, safety, anti-vacuum and expansion valves. Electrical parts can include switches, relays, thermostats, indicator lights, capacitors, wiring and other electrical components. Always compare the function, voltage, connections and original reference.
Genuine and compatible Vibiemme parts
Genuine Vibiemme parts carry a manufacturer reference and are intended for a particular application. Compatible alternatives are available for various service and wear parts. A compatible part is not packaged by Vibiemme, but it may be technically suitable for the models listed on the product page.

- the production year or serial number;
- the original Vibiemme part number;
- dimensions, threads and connections;
