Our range of brands
At Brooks, you can find a variety of espresso machine parts from a wide range of manufacturers. Most of the brands we carry are Italian, such as Faema, Cimbali, Nuova Simonelli, and Victoria Arduino. However, we also stock parts for brands like Astoria, Wega, Bezzera, and La Pavoni.

One advantage of many espresso machine parts is that they are often universal and interchangeable between brands, such as with the E61 group head.

We not only stock espresso machine brands but also brands of accessories that you can use with your espresso machines.

The rise of espresso machines worldwide
The espresso machine as we know it today has only existed since the 1960s, starting with the Faema E61. It was the first pump-driven espresso machine. Before this, pressure in the group head was generated by pulling down a lever that compressed a large spring. The pressure would then be released slowly through the coffee, creating an average of 9 bars of pressure, which later became the standard for pump-driven machines.

Below is an overview of countries where various espresso machine brands originate, some of which may surprise you.

Italy
The birthplace of the espresso machine is undoubtedly Italy. Brands like Faema, Cimbali, and Bezzera have been around since World War II. Other brands like Astoria, Wega, and Nuova Simonelli joined later. There are still many more brands that produce machines and spare parts for coffee machines in Italy.

Spain
In Spain, the company Quality Espresso owns brands like Futuremat, Visacrem, and Gaggia. Another famous company is Ascaso, known for their home espresso machines, but they also build commercial models.

France
From France, there is currently one company, Conti Sacome, founded in the 1950s. They mainly produce commercial espresso machines.

Germany
One of the best-known brands for home espresso machines is ECM (Espresso Coffee Machines Manufacture GmbH). They also produce commercial espresso machines, but they are less common.

Netherlands
In the Netherlands, there is only one manufacturer of espresso machines: Kees van der Westen. They produce high-end commercial espresso machines, which are found worldwide. Another leading brand for filter coffee is Technivorm, with their Moccamaster filter machines.

USA
The USA is not widely known for its espresso machines, but there are three manufacturers: Slayer, Synesso, and Modbar. These brands cater to the high-end market. Slayer and Synesso make traditional espresso machines, while Modbar produces under-counter espresso machines, with only the group heads above the counter.
