My boiler won’t stop filling
When you have a level regulator in your espresso machine but your water inlet solenoid valve won’t close this can be caused by multiple things. It can be caused by:
1: the water level probe has been calcified, then it won’t make contact with the water level again and the level regulator won’t detect this anymore. You need to replace the level probe.
2: the level regulator itself is broken. The easiest solution is to just replace the entire unit. Always check for the part reference number on the module if you have the correct one.
3: the solenoid valve is blocked. The solenoid valve is a NC(normally closed) solenoid valve. So the solenoid valve coil is energized to open the solenoid valve. But the internals can be blocked by foreign debris, which leaves the solenoid valve open.
