La San Marco 85 - Motor and pump

On the San Marco 85 espresso machines there are a variety of motors and pumps used. Seen there is a version with a internal motor, but also a version with a external motor.

The motor and pumps used on the SM 85 espresso machines are a individual motor with a pump connected to it. As a main motor there is normally a motor used from the Italian brand RPM. On top of this motor is a junction box installed, seen it needs to be placed outside the espresso machine.

The pumps which is used on the San Marco motor is generic clamp on pump. These pumps can be made by brands such as Fluid o tech, Procon and Nuert. Note: always pay attention to the threads on the in and outlet port. Seen those can be NPT or BSP-G.
