Vertical boiler Classe 5

The vertical boiler is used, as described above, only in the 1 group versions of the Classe 5. This heating element type is available in a 110,120 and a 230V configuration. Where the 110V produces 1200W, the 120V produces 1600W and the 230V version produces a total of 1700W. besides that it is fitted with all the same features such as a thermostat and a boiler pressure gauge.

Horizontal boiler Classe 5

The traditional horizontal boilers are used on the bigger Classe 5 models, such as the 2 and 3 group versions. For this version there is no 110/120V heating element available. They are only 230V (which is used on the 380V models as well). They are available in a 2 group version which produces 4300W and a 3 group version which produces 6000W.

Classe 5 boiler components

The Classe 5 espresso machine is one of the cheaper models Rancilio makes for their commercial line, but that doesn’t mean that it lacks features and safety components on their boilers.

The most important things you will find on these boilers are the safety valve and vacuum valve. This model does not have a electronic pressure sensor, but a regular pressure switch. Which is less expensive then the electronic one. Other features you can find are a level probe, safety thermostat and a boiler pressure gauge.
