Astoria Argenta - Water inlet

The water inlet valve on the Astoria Argenta espresso machine is a manual operated valve. This is intended as a backup valve for the solenoid operated water inlet valve.

This valve is operated by pushing the handle to one side. Once you have reached the point you will open the valve you will feel the resistance of the internal spring. By pushing this pin inwards a gasket holder and gasket will be pushed inwards, which means that the valve is opened.

Once you return the handle to it’s original position the valve will close automatically, seen there is a small compression spring inside the valve.
