Faema E92 Elite - Brewing group

The brewing group used on the Faema E92 Elite is a typical Faema brewing group, which style of group head is also used on a small number of Cimbali espresso machines.

This model of group head is a solenoid valve Heat Exchanger (HX) model. The group head is supplied with a feed and return tube from the HX in the boiler. The first thing it passes is the  thermal regulator rod, then it goes true the nozzle, true the solenoid valve and eventually true the shower screen.

This type of brewing group uses a 60mm shower screen and a portafilter gasket with a outer diameter of 74mm, a inner of 58mm and a thickness of 8mm. the portafilter used on this brewing group uses a 70mm filterbasket. The portafilter itself has a ear orientation of 90 degree and a ear thickness of 7mm.
