These are used for various applications such as water dispensing, water inlet and as a exhaust on the brewing groups. The most used solenoid valves are the 2 and 3 way solenoid valves. These are made by various companies like Lucifer, Parker, ODE, Sirai and Olab.
The 3 way solenoid valves are used on the Astoria brewing groups like on the Astoria Plus 4 You, Astoria Adria, Astoria Brava, Astoria Dora, Astoria Lisa, Astoria Vania. This solenoid valve closes when the brewing starts, when the valve opens again the remaining water can flow out of the exhaust port.
The 2 way solenoid valves are used for the main water inlet valve, to let the water into the boiler of the Astoria CMA espresso machine. Besides that the 2 way valve is also used as a dispensing valve for the water valve on for instance the Astoria Plus 4 You, Astoria Adria, Astoria Argenta, Astoria Vania, Astoria Pratic.
