Spare parts for Cimbali espressomachines

The brand Lacimbali uses a variety of spare parts on their coffee machines. Some of them are generic spare parts, but a lot of them are also unique to gruppo Cimbali. For that reason it is likely that some parts are also compatible with Faema and Casadio espresso machines. Seen they are also part of this group.

Cimbali Portafilter

Which size of portafilter can be used on your La Cimbali espresso machine does depend on which type of brewing group it has. In most cases a regular La Cimbali portafilter will fit, but there are some models La Cimbali produces which use a Faema brewing group. These portafilters aren’t interchangeable

La Cimbali M100

The La Cimbali M100 espresso machine was for it’s time quite a revolutionary coffee machine. That is the case for the lacimbali m100 which has been fitted with the multi boiler system. Where each individual brewing group has a individual boiler. With the electronic temperature control you could set each individual brewing group at a certain temperature.

The price on the Cimbali M100 was quite high, but that had also to do with it’s technology which was installed. Now there is a new model, which is the La Cimbali M200 espresso machine. This machine is even more packed with electronic features than the M100.

La Cimbali M21 junior

The La Cimbali M21 junior espresso machine is probably one of the models which is the longest still in production espresso machine. You can see it a bit on the design, but if it is a good espresso machine why change it? This is ideal to use at home as a home barista, or in a non busy bar or office.

This box shape design can be a bit outdated, but it has al the basic things to be a good espresso machine. It has been fitted with the iconic La Cimbali brewing group, which is installed partially inside the boiler of the espresso machine. This espresso machine does come in a DT, volumetric and a S, non volumetric version.

La Cimbali Junior

The Cimbali junior espresso machine, not the Cimbali junior grinder, is the predecessor of the La Cimbali M21 junior coffee machine. you do also see a lot of similarities between these coffee machines. But this model was only made in the non volumetric version, seen that technology was quite new when this coffee machine was in production. The issue with this machine is that a lot of the electronic components are out of production and aren’t made anymore.

Cleaning your Cimbali espresso machine

Keeping your Cimbali coffee machine clean is really important when you are a bar/restaurant owner. A filthy machine makes bad coffee, it’s a food product so it needs to be clean and a dirty machine in your bar is not a thing you want to show to your customers.

So to make it simple, keep the outside of your machine clean with Puly bar and a brooks microfibre cloth. It’s fast and easy but look a lot better. On a daily basis you need to clean your brewing groups and steam tube. Cleaning the brewing groups can be done with Puly caff and a blind filter, this cleans the brewing group on the inside including the solenoid valve. Cleaning the steam tube is easy. Fill a milk pitcher with Brooks milk cleaner and water, and let the steam tube soak into this mix. Rinse afterwards with clean tap water.
