Spare Parts for Cimbali Espresso Machines
The brand LaCimbali uses a wide range of spare parts in its coffee machines. Some of these are generic parts, but many are also unique to Gruppo Cimbali. For this reason, it is likely that some parts are also compatible with Faema and Casadio espresso machines, as these brands are also part of this group.
Cimbali Portafilters
The size of the portafilter that can be used on your LaCimbali espresso machine depends on the type of brewing group it has. In most cases, a standard LaCimbali portafilter will fit. However, there are certain models manufactured by LaCimbali that use a Faema brewing group. These portafilters are not interchangeable.
Models of
La Cimbali M100
The La Cimbali M100 espresso machine was, in its time, quite a revolutionary coffee machine. This is due to the M100 being equipped with a multi-boiler system, where each individual brewing group has its own boiler. With electronic temperature control, you can set each brewing group to a specific temperature.
The price of the Cimbali M100 was relatively high, but this was due to the advanced technology installed. A new version is now available: the La Cimbali M200 espresso machine. This machine is even more equipped with advanced electronic features than the M100.
La Cimbali M21 Junior
The La Cimbali M21 Junior espresso machine is probably one of the models that has been in production the longest. You can somewhat tell by its design, but if it’s a good espresso machine, why change it? It is ideal for home use as a home barista, or in a quiet bar or office.
The boxy design may seem a bit dated, but it has all the basic features to be a great espresso machine. It is equipped with the iconic LaCimbali brewing group, which is partially installed inside the boiler of the espresso machine. This machine is available in a DT (volumetric) and S (non-volumetric) version.
La Cimbali Junior
The >Cimbali Junior espresso machine, not to be confused with the Cimbali Junior grinder, is the predecessor of the La Cimbali M21 Junior coffee machine. You can also see many similarities between these machines. However, this model was only produced in the non-volumetric version because volumetric technology was still relatively new when this coffee machine was in production. The downside of this model is that many of the electronic components are out of production and no longer manufactured.
Cleaning Your Cimbali Espresso Machine
Keeping your Cimbali coffee machine clean is essential, especially if you’re a bar or restaurant owner. A dirty machine produces bad coffee, and since coffee is a food product, the machine must be hygienic. Moreover, a dirty machine in your bar is not something you want your customers to see.
Keep the exterior of your machine clean with Puly Bar and a microfiber cloth from Brooks. This is quick and easy and looks much better. Each day, you need to clean the brewing groups and the steam wand. Brewing groups can be cleaned with Puly Caff and a . This cleans the inside of the brewing group, including the solenoid valve. To clean the steam wand, fill a milk pitcher with Brooks Milk Cleaner and water, and let the steam wand soak in this solution. Rinse afterward with clean tap water.
